The History of NDTC

North Dakota Telephone Company was financed by TPC, stock of Contel of North Dakota, Inc. TPC, Inc. is a consortium formed by United Telephone Mutual Aid Corporation (Langdon, ND); Dakota Central Rural Telephone Coop. (Carrington, ND); and Polar Communications (Park River, ND).
BulletContinued Growth
North Dakota Telephone Company grew once again on June 1, 1996 when they acquired 11 new exchanges from U.S. West. Those 11 new exchanges included: Balta, Drake, Harvey, Knox, Leeds, Maddock, Esmond, Velva, Rugby, Minnewaukan, and Fessenden.
BulletNew Acquisitions
TPC, Inc. was successful in purchasing 15 exchanges from Contel of North Dakota. On November 1, 1993, North Dakota Telephone Company became the local telephone service provider for the following exchanges: Devils Lake, Fort Totten, Crary, Penn, Hampden, Starkweather, Warwick, Cando, New Rockford, Webster, McVille, Pekin, Tolna, Sheyenne, and Oberon.

Our company has grown quite rapidly, increasing from 10,000 access lines to nearly 20,000 access lines in less than three years. All of us at the North Dakota Telephone Company are excited about serving you and offering personal telephone and Internet service to your area.
